Dr. Shweta Kapoor founded Kalm Psychiatry to offer exceptional mental healthcare with integrative therapy and medication management. With a prestigious background at top institutions, including Mayo Clinic, Baylor College of Medicine, and Emory University, Dr. Kapoor is a board-certified psychiatrist and PhD-trained in clinical psychology, with expertise in trauma-informed care and pain management.

Dr. Kapoor has worked individuals suffering from chronic pain in rural Alabama, survivors of childhood abuse with chronic suicidality in Atlanta downtown, and those with developmental, attachment, and medical traumas. Dr. Kapoor’s clinical work encompasses chronic pain, complex trauma, suicidality, childhood sexual abuse, and complex psychopathology. Dr. Kapoor has published more than 35 original research articles in prestigious journals such as PAIN. She speaks often about trauma and chronic pain.
